Truck camper spare access

I went to the junkyard yesterday and purchased 3 extensions for lowering the spare, it's been a concern I've pondered since getting the camper 2 years ago. Not sure how Ram and Ford get the spare out.
The two pieces in the middle are what I bought 3 of.
Cost me $11
