Yup, another TV backer question. Rockwood 2515s. Does anyone know for certain whether the TV backer is wood or aluminum/metal in the bedroom? I know the new rockwoods are all aluminum framed. But it's really unclear as to what material is in the TV backer. Manufacturer has no information that I can see on this and the dealership says they actually don't know which is scary.

The reason I think it's important is because wood screws and metal screws are not really the same.

Also if anyone has added a TV to their bedroom in their Rockwood, I be interested in knowing what bracket you used.

I have a Flagstaff and my TV backer is steel even though the framing is aluminum tubing. I was able to use magnets to find the edges of the backer.

I have the 2515s and installed a TV in the bedroom. The backer was wood and just by lightly pressing the wallboard, I could tell where the backer was located. I installed a 24" TV and tucked it as close to the wall and ceiling as I could. I did have to add a small 3/4" piece of wood behind the mount so the TV would clear (barely) the sliding door. This is the mount I used, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KT13216?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

My goal was to put the TV as far out of the way as possible so we wouldn't smack our head walking past it. Overall it works great and is very solid. However, I do remove the TV while traveling. With this mount, it's very easy to hand the TV once we arrive at the campground.

On mine I had no backer at all where the sticker was. Ended up using a piece of 1/2 inch birch plywood to span the two closest studs and painted it too match the cabinets

Our 2025 is wood. Pull the cable connection cover off. You can feel in there and see what you have. As others have stated. You can press on the wall board and feel where the wood is. We installed a 32 inch.
