After installing a bike rack on the bumper on our first trip I went to remove the B&G hose (sewer hose) I found that it was jammed and wouldn’t come out.
After inspecting it was the bike hitch that compressed the bumper slightly not allowing the end of the hose to be removed.
I ultimately had to remove the rack and loosen the hitch to allow the hose to come out.
It appears now I will have to find a new spot to stow the hose.
Any suggestions out there?
 
I used a 5” vinyl post from Home Depot. Bought 2 end caps and attached them with hinges and latches. Mounted to the frame with self drilling screws using galvanized pipe strap. Also used a bike tube between the strap and the post to keep assembly snug. I also drilled holes in the bottom for drainage and ventilation. IMG_0706.jpgIMG_0705.jpg
 
I did the same thing on this and my last camper. Both of them have been mounted in front of the axles. Just out of convenience of an easy mounting location.
