This is the problem, can you help me with this issue.
Everything worked during the Summer but when I went to winterize, I turn one valve handle to winterize from normal and another from RV to hot water heater bypass to keep antifreeze out of it. I then place a tube in antifreeze turn on the pump and nothing happens. I used to suck up to all sinks, shower, toilet etc. but not now.
Now my water pump won't suck up water to the trailer and the city water won't work either. The water pump is new and I don't think it's the problem but you tell me, Thank you. Any help would be great! Dana Anderson

Are you trying to get it to suck up the anti-freeze?

Sometimes it helps to fill the hose up with AF before putting it into the bucket. Then the pump won't have to work as hard.

Also it might help to get the bucket up a little higher than the inlet. Like on a ladder or something.

When you turn on the pump is it actually coming on? Does it run continuously or for a short time and then shut off?

The pump is running quietly and not pumping water but I do get air at the faucets. The antifreeze used to pump up straight from the bottle, this time I did tilt the bottle a little bit and it took some antifreeze in.

Water issue

Problem solved, it was debris in the faucet screens at both sinks, go figure. Lol I love the fixes that don’t cost any money! Now that water is exiting the faucet the pump cycles off and on as it should. Have not tried to winterize and may not now that spring is around the corner march 20th.

Thanks to everyone, I had read this fix somewhere here or another forum. Happy camping!

when you pull the onode rod and after its drained tape a 3/8 piece of hose to shop vac hose and suck out all of the crusty little particles of anode rod crap . this keeps the faucets clear of debris from water heater.

Hot water tank

I flush out the hot water tank every year at least once before camping and before wintering. I use a wand on the end of the hose you can see stuff coming out.
It took 11 years for the faucet screens to stop up and we run all drinking water through a Zero water filter to include our ice machine. Thanks You for your input.

Just from your statements I would say you have a faulty check valve in the pump even though it is new. Tell your RV dealer your story and ask for a replacement.
