Me and the wife have been researching trailers to purchase and it was all the information we received from this forum that helped us land on what make and model trailer we wanted. We purchased a gently used 2023 2109s, couldn't be more excited to start some new adventures! We hope to enjoy good times and learn new things and share ideas as we go.

Congratulations on your new MiniLite

We had a similar trailer and we traveled around 30,000 miles in it over 5 years. It's a great layout for a couple.

We have owned two 2109s units. Really nice. Easy to access, work on water pump & heater. Quite the difference between the first, a gently used 2013 and a nearly new 2019. LED lights etc. One issue that surprised us is that the Mini Lite units are tongue heavy. Our camp ready 2019, with one third fresh water had a Shureline tongue scale measured weight of 840# ( 14.7#of GVWR), we left the generator at home. Then last spring we attended the annual RV show...
Enjoy the 2109s !

Congrats on your 2109s! We've the same model, a 2022 model. It's a great "couples coach", with access to everything when the slide is retracted. Enjoy the new adventures!

I have several friends with 2109s trailers, and I see them all the time where I camp, it has to be their most popular model.

If you decide to upgrade the toilet, the Dometic 320 will fit. The original 300s tend to have some issues, and going to the all porcelain 320 is a very nice upgrade.

We have owned (2) Mini Lites. They were both great trailers. Very few of the nightmare issues that are becoming the "norm" in the RV industry. Very solidly built, quality products.

This is great. Congratulations. It’s so exciting to make this change in life.

We have a mini light 2109S (2016) and we have been perfectly happy (with a few modifications). As you’ve already experienced this forum is a fantastic resource and the members are incredibly knowledgeable.

Ditto on the recommendation by RobbieH to upgrade to the Dometic 320 porcelain. It was a painless upgrade and made a significant difference.

Nice work.

Congratulations! I'm sure you will love it!

We bought a 2017 2109S a year ago. This is our first travel trailer and we love everything about it! Last summer we made 9 trips and stayed at a total of 13 campgrounds. There is not one thing we would change about the design. It's perfect for two people.

Congrats, you won't regret it. Great couples camper. Had a 2109s bought new in 2015, now own a 2511s, still a couples trailer. Very satisfied with both. I do miss the lighter weight of the 2109 over the 2511, but the F150 handles it fine.

The Rockwood Mini 2109s is a great model to own. After much research we ordered our 2109s in May of 2024 and received in about six weeks. We have taken several trips and absolutely love this unit. The layout is great and everything is top quality workmanship. The wife says is perfect for us.
Enjoy your new Mini and all the new adventures.

Proud owner of 2015 2109s. Easy to upgrade. Easy to pull. Initially used 2007 Nissan V6. Now pull with 2013 F150 5.0l V8 and cruse control with no problems. Upgrades: 400w solar system into 2 6V GC6 Batts. 1000w inverter mounted in upper cabinet to run TV & Sat off 12v. All electronics contained in vertical cabinet space behind TV. Just replaced jacknife sofa $400 from CW closeout. Upgraded stove to Furrion $1200 unit from scratch-n-dent store for $300. Replaced toilet with porcelain toilet. Use great pop-up shower stall and upgraded outdoor shower head unit for roomy outdoor showers including our pooch. Reinforced rear bumper to hold a toolbox and generator shelf for Harbor Freight 3500w inverter generator. Some wall paper, paint, back splash tile, and a new kitchen faucet for a pleasant upgraded look. Easy to cool and heat.

We have the same year and model of Mini Lite as you also. My wife and I went from a 35’ Grand Design 5th wheel to this little 23’ pull behind and love it, it is so much easier to maintain than the 5th wheel everything can be done in my drive and I don’t have to pay for storage any more and don’t have to worry about having to use truck routes when traveling. I am looking to upsizing to a 2518s for the size of the bathroom, don’t know it will happen this year though.

I like the extra counter space but comes at the cost of losing the cabinet/pantry space at the doorway compared to the 2511S. Fireplace sure comes in handy also.

But then I do not care for the changes from my 2022 model either.

In the 2109S and indeed also in our 2304DS, you can move the table out to be an island for prepping, serving, etc., and it's not as bad as it sounds since most people like to eat outside while camping.

Thanks everyone, we have been transferring our camping gear from our old tent trailer and adding a few things as well. Our Gen 2 Sequoia seems to pull it rather easily, but as someone noted the tongue weight seems high. The prior owner included a Husky Centerline TS WDH with 800-1,000 pound bars. I can't seem to get the TV level and the bars have so much tension they are very difficult to remove with the tongue jack way up high. I'm thinking I may need to replace the rear coil springs with heavier models to help with squat. It does not have air bags but I hear they fail a lot.

The trailer only had a single 12V deep cycle battery, so I removed the plastic dual battery box and installed a new tongue box and 280ah LiFePO4 battery, also purchased a second 200w panel to add to the roof. I'm a little confused by the GoPower PWM controller though. I switched to LFP battery type, but it reads the battery as 100% charged when it's at 13.3 volts. As a result the charge from the solar panel is at a trickle rate even when I hit boost. So I sense the controller may not be fully topping off the battery. More research needed on this. Otherwise we are quite happy with the purchase. Now next step is retire and start using it!

You did follow the set up instructions for the hitch? I have same hitch but different vehicle/trailer and following the set up procedures both were level.
I see glancing at a 2017 Sequoia owners manual they want the front back to 100%. Look at your owners manual and see what it says.
What is the tongue weight, guessing not allowed. Maybe the bars are too high of a strength?
Depending on my angles, especially with the truck front end is higher than the rear when hooking up/disconnection my bars they are pretty hard to install/takeoff. Rear end higher and it is a lot easier.

Mine does too. It does top them off though and have verified it using the Overkill app.

I am running about 600 lbs. tongue weight with my 2109S when fully loaded. I think that is because the tandems are set back so far on the trailer. I bought an Equalizer 10,000 GVW WDH to use with the trailer. Question.. did your 2109S come with a lift kit? I have a 3 1/2 inch factory lift and use a Ram 1500 to tow. I use as many wood blocks as I can under the trailer jack so I can raise the trailer high enough to get it off the ball. They installed the ball as high as they could without hampering opening the tailgate and after installing the hitch, the truck was still sagging quite a bit. I raised the L brackets as much as I could to raise the back of the truck. It did help with raising the truck (still not perfectly level) but now the spring bars are not level with the ground.(I think they are supposed to be). The only way I know of to fix the problem is to raise the ball and then my tailgate won't open.

Anyway, all that said, using blocks with your tongue jack may help with getting your trailer high enough to take off the ball.
It sounds as there may be some adjustment needed with your WDH. I would play with that before replacing springs. I bet your Sequoia sits as high or higher than my 1500.
I doubt that having heavier spring bars than needed factors into the equation. I talked to EQ about mine and they said it wouldn't hurt a thing but it may affect ride quality.
Those springs bars DO have a lot of pressure on them. That is how they work.
Congrats on converting to lithium. There was a huge learning curve when I switched to lithium and there are tons of threads on this forum to walk you through it. Good luck and keep working on that retirement!!
